CP2 - CP6 - video:

CP2 - Continued work planning courses with the course planning guidelines for the protection of the student(s). We begin to go through the Asana Reference Manual pose by pose learning what areas of the body need to be warmed up and how (external rotation and abduction of the hip, extension of the arm, etc.). We also come up with particular poses to facilitate warming up the body in the ways needed before the goal pose and learn how to counter after the goal pose to relieve the stresses and strains of the practice.

CP3 - Continues where CP2 left off moving through the Asana Reference Manual pose-by-pose, and we begin to overlay breath ratios within an asana course

CP4 - Specifics of course planning for pranayama including planning breath ratios for beginner, intermediate and advanced students, how to appropriately build to particular goal breaths, and how to use counter breaths appropriately.

CP5 - Focuses on how to adapt poses for students who prefer to sit in a chair. Perfect for teachers who would like to teach a chair yoga class.

CP6 - Focuses on teaching the alignment of the bones at the different areas of the body called chakras. JJ shares her handouts that she uses in her weekly classes when she teaches “chakra alignment,” and discusses the best poses she has found for teaching the alignment at these different areas of the body.

Asana Reference Manual may be purchased separately. Those in SCHYS Training Programs receive the Asana Reference Manual as part of the tuition.
