Yoga Therapy Specialty Certificates
Specialty Certificates are designed for those students who have graduated from an SCHYS, other IAYT accredited C-IAYT program, or have an RYT-500 and are working with the target population. SCHYS graduates have priority access to these programs, which are limited to 12-participants. Students in non-SCHYS programs will be required to take a Bridge Program which consists of online classes so that they better understand how SCHYS approaches designing and implementing practices given for yoga therapy purposes.
RYT500-from SCHYS (or currently enrolled in Step 1 or beyond).
Students who have their RYT-500 from non-SCHYS Program, and are currently working with the target population of students addressed in the Specialty Certificate may apply and will be required to take Bridge Program-A prior to starting the Specialty Certificate’s hands-on module.
Students who received their C-IAYT from an institution other than SCHYS may apply for a Specialty Certificate but will also be required to complete the Bridge Program (details below) before beginning the Specialty Certificate program.
All applicants, including SCHYS student applicants should have completed the following online classes: Philosophy 1, Course Planning 1, 2, 3, & 4.
C-IAYT Graduates from non-SCHYS programs: will be required to complete the Bridge Program prior to the start of the hands-on module.
