Come join us on another wonderful winter trip to the sun for some relaxation, yoga, good friends, and making new friends. We have a gorgeous seven bedroom home for the week. Each bedroom has its own bathroom and two beds. There’s also our own pool, lots of outdoor living space to lounge around in, a huge kitchen—it’s just fabulous. Plus, the beach is just a short walk away.
Our wonderful guide that we’ve known since 1996, Handre, has helped put together our best tour of Indonesia yet. Those who’ve been on any of our Southeast Asia trips know and love Handre, and if this will be your first trip with us, you too will get to know and love him. He knows all the ins/outs of travel in SE Asia and has always put together a marvelous trip for us.
This year we start at Alam Indah (JJ’s favorite place in Bali, just outside the monkey forest of Ubud), where we stay put for the first 6 nights enjoying many activities and outings from there. Then we travel to the northwest shore to explore coral reefs and marine life and have an opportunity to walk into Bali’s national forest in hopes of sighting a Bali Starling. Next, we take a ferry over to Java and stay at a resort on the slopes of Ijen volcano with spectacular sights. Flying onward to Yogyakarta, we’ll spend four nights exploring the soul of Javanese culture and visiting sacred ancient Hindu and Buddhist sites dating back to 8th century. Our main program will end at Borobudur, the world’s largest monument dedicated to the path of Buddha.
From here we say goodbye to those who will not be joining us to fly over to Borneo to see the orangutans—a post-trip excursion that JJ’s been wanting to do and now Handre has helped organize this. JJ adopted an orangutan and feels this will be special to go see their natural habitat and help bring awareness to saving their habitat.
Another magical time at Gray Bear—JJ’s favorite yoga space. In this retreat JJ will introduce the eight diaphragms of the body and their importance in our health and healing. JJ has been successful using the synching of these diaphragms with her current clients. Issues associated with these diaphragms include: plantar fasciitis, knee pain & alignment, pelvic floor issues, numbness in the hands, headaches and migraines. Experience how simple movements associated with these diaphragms can be used on yourself and/or your students for health and healing.

With their guiding care this yoga vacation may just be one of the healthiest vacations you’ve had - of course, we will be having fun too 😉.
