Prenatal Yoga Teacher Certificate Program

Additional Requirements (25-hrs): Students will complete outside reading and study, write a 5-7 page research paper, pass a practicum evaluation (during the last hands-on module), complete practicum hours, and successfully pass an open book exam.

Application and Steps for Enrollment

This 85-Hour Program has the following steps and fees for enrollment:

  1. Download an application (.docx) for this program. Your application must include a non-refundable $80 application fee and proof of 200-hr certificate and other related credentials. Once we are in receipt of both, please allow 2-4 weeks for processing.

  2. You will receive written notification informing you of your acceptance or declining your enrollment.

  3. Once we receive your payment you will receive an official Welcome Letter with information about the program and how to access materials and the online classes. This will include the access code to the program on Schoology.com - you will need to register on Schoology as all program communications and materials are managed here.

Tuition

Tuition for this program is $800 and includes 3-online classes, 2-hands on modules in Orange, VA, and handouts. Tuition does not include travel or room/board to hands-on modules. You will be automatically enrolled in the online classes, do not register separately.

Pre-Requisite:

200-hour RYT or equivalent. Students must be proficient in English, have reasonably good computer skills (be able to use an online platform for online classes), and access to a working computer with fairly recent software.

Program Requirements

This 85-hour certificate program begins with a series of online classes and culminates in two hands-on modules.

Online Classes (24-hrs): Each online class meets weekly over an 8-week period (1-hour per week on Wednesdays 11:15-12:15 pm (Eastern Time). Classes are recorded for those who cannot attend live, students must post to the discussion board for each online class.

  • Prenatal Class-1: Introduction to Prenatal Yoga and the First Trimester (March 27-May 15)

  • Prenatal Class-2: The Second Trimester (June 26-August 15)

  • Prenatal Class-3: The Third Trimester & Running a Prenatal Class (September 16-November 13)

Hands-on Modules (36-hrs): These modules are an opportunity to put into practice all that was learned in the online classes and offer students a chance to work with actual prenatal students under Faculty guidance. We have tentatively scheduled the following weekends for Hands-on Modules:

  • September 6-8, 2019

  • October 11-13, 2019
